Montirius is firstly women and men who are passionate about their work. In the office, in the vines, in the winery, we try to maintain a delicate balance whereby each one brings his/her talent, competences and motivation, while maintaining the respect for others and for our philosophy.. We hereby thank Nataly, Olivier, Emmanuel, Nicole, Jean-François, Gilles and Hubert for their respective contributions ! Concerning Manon, Justine and Marius, our three children, two of whom work with us all year, they are aware of our love and gratitude; their names gave birth to the word ‘Montirius’.

The Saurel Family

Eric

​

Eric has run the family domain for 30 years. Viticulturist to start with and winemaker in his soul, he converted the domain to Bio-Dynamic culture in 1996 before constructing his new cellar for the best grapes of 2002.

Christine

​

When Christine married Eric 26 years ago, she also married the cause of the family domain. She actively participated in the conversion process towards Bio-Dynamic culture, in the construction of the cellar, in the blending of wines and the commercialization of them in France and abroad.

Justine

​

Justine invests herself totally in the family domain since 2007. She has to her credit 18 wine making terms at Montirius and one in New Zeland, 3 years apprenticeship in the vines. She is Christine and Eric’s oldest daughter.

Manon

​

She has been fully involved in the family estate since 2011. To her credit, Master Grande École at Montpellier Business School on a work-study basis obtained in 2016, BTS International Commerce on a work-study basis in 2013. She is the youngest daughter of Christine and Eric..

Marius

​

Programming student... Will perhaps follow the path of his sisters, if he wishes. For the moment, he helps occasionally with work in the vineyards and in the cellar during his free time.

Nataly

​

Nataly joined the Domaine in 2015 as an accountant, to the great satisfaction of the entire team and the Saurel family. Competent in both accounting and social matters, she assists Christine & Eric, Justine and Manon in the administrative procedures of the Domaine and knows how to listen to customers. She integrated into the Montirius family with ease and good humor.

Jean-François

Jean-François joined the Domaine in 2020 as sales administrator, to the great satisfaction of the entire team and the Saurel family. Competent in both administrative and delivery matters, he assists Christine & Eric, Justine and Manon in the administrative procedures of the Domaine and knows how to listen to customers. He integrated into the Montirius family with ease and good humor. He speaks fluently English and Spanish.

Olivier is our team leader. He has been with us since 2005. Having assisted Eric in the winery for 5 years, he has become our right hand man in the vines. He has a sense of what is needed.
